Cory Raley Infield | Hitting
Cory grew up in South Texas in the small town of Uvalde. Out of high school he turned down a 33rd Round pick from the Cleveland Indians when he headed to Texas A&M University. After seeing limited playing time, he later transferred to Temple College to play shortstop. After one year at Temple, Cory then transferred to Texas Tech University. Despite injuries, he finished his junior year with a batting average of .350. Cory also received All-Big 12 Second Team DH honors.
In 2016 Cory decided to finish school to get his degree. He finished his senior year batting .323 with 20+ extra base-hits. During his senior season, he accomplished a perfect 21/21 on stolen bases. During the year of 2016, Texas Tech reached the College World Series for the second time in three years. The Red Raiders went 1-2 in Omaha, unfortunately being eliminated by the CWS winner, Costal Carolina. Cory received All-Big 12 Second Team DH honors for a second time and finished his college baseball career with a College World Series/ Big 12 Championship Ring. Cory graduated from Texas Tech University in December and moved to Colorado to pursue a dream in Gunsmitthing. Book a lesson with Cory. |
