![]() Anthony has a passion for baseball that few can match. Once a former player in the Astros Organization, Anthony has taught players that have reached Division 1 college programs all the way to the Major Leagues. He has over 20 years of personal pitching instruction experience (left handed specialist) and is the Smoky Hill High School Varsity Baseball Pitching Coach. Anthony has the unique ability to communicate to players of all ages and maximize their ability physically and mentally. We sat down with him to get his thoughts about the game and more. What are your strengths as an instructor? The ability to communicate my vast knowledge of the game with passion to all ages no matter the level of skill. What is your favorite aspect of baseball? The strategic culture and the specific skill sets needed to be successful in a game that creates more failure than success. Also, the historical accomplishments of how players have defied the odds shows why this game is so great. What would you like to see more of or less of in the game? More respect for the game and less expectation of what the game owes an individual. Which can be applied to all levels from Youth to MLB. How do you spend your down time? Mostly watching baseball and reading. Who do you consider to be the most underrated player in the game?
