Hello, My name is Andrew Schwaab and I am from St. Louis, Missouri. I pitched two years at a junior college called Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri where I was primarily the closing pitcher out of the bullpen. My sophomore year, I was voted on by my teammates and coaches as Reliever of the year in 2013. I transferred from Crowder to the University of Missouri- Columbia, also known as Mizzou, where I continued to pitch out of the bullpen against top programs in the Southeastern Conference. At the conclusion of my senior year, in 2015, I was signed by the New York Yankees organization to be a pitcher in their minor league system. That first half season in 2015, I was in Rookie Ball where I played in two different levels. I was a two time mid season all-star my next two full seasons in professional baseball. My first full season being in Low A Charleston, SC as I was also voted by Baseball America, the best reliever in the South Atlantic League. The second full season being in High A Tampa, FL. During my second full season playing in 2017, I was promoted to AA Trenton, NJ and I went on to pitch in the Arizona Fall League at the conclusion of that season. I kicked off the 2018 in AA Trenton, NJ but hit a few bumps in the road and was released by the Yankees in August. Just a few days later I was offered the opportunity to join the Detroit Tigers where I wrapped up my season in AA Erie, PA.
Baseball has given me the chance to meet many people from all over the country. I gained a large portion of my coaching abilities from working at Rijo Athletics in Seattle, WA as a pitching coach in lessons, velocity building programs, team practices, and camps. I love teaching young kids the game of baseball and all that comes with it. I look forward to joining the great team of guys working at Bardo's Diamond Sports this off season. Come see us!
